EIGHTY YEARS OVERDUE

Dear Father,

I am eighty-six years of age. My letter to the Sacred Heart Magazine is eighty years overdue.

When I was six years of age we lived on a farm. One day I opened a gate and left six horses out onto the road. They were untrained and when they got their freedom they ran off down the road as fast as they could. I knew I would be scolded by my father RIP now, so the only prayer I knew was 'Sacred Heart of Jesus I place all my trust in Thee'. I prayed hard to the Sacred Heart and the horses turned round and walked back to the yard. My father never knew they had been out. I trust in the Sacred Heart for everything now. He never lets me down.
